Aldo Bakker’s work include furniture, accessories, objects, etc. With a simple style and light structure, his work focus on the natural and essential characteristics of materials, and develops into organic shapes.
His work has won various awards such as the European Industrial Design Award, the Dutch design award, etc. Aldo proposed that artifacts are spiritual, and they are emotionally connected to their owners through senses such as seeing, smelling, and touching. His work usually gives people the impression of a strange appearance but seems heartily sincere as if they are trying to talk to their owner. As Aldo has said, ‘My design comes with its own aura and its own definition. They have their own meaning of existence.’

From royal special to national gift, filigree craft, one of Yanjing Eight's handicraft art, has been in a high position all along. Filigree crafts use rare materials and complex techniques to prove their worth for the royals. However, after Aldo Bakker's design, the filigree craft was changed to a net and finally made into three pieces of daily Western kitchen utensils. The seemingly regular and industrialized arrangement is the pinnacle of handwork by 12 craft masters from CHJ Jewelry working together for half a year, making the crafts a real 'priceless treasure’.
